Make Brooklyn Count

FourTwo Creative joined forces with Join/Projects as part of their Census awareness campaign for the Healthcare Education Project, encouraging traditionally undercounted communities to take the 2020 Census.

Join/Projects enlisted FourTwo to build the awareness campaign for key areas in Brooklyn and online. FourTwo created a two-day live activation and a 10-day digital messaging campaign to “Make Brooklyn Count.” As a result, FourTwo distributed 400 meals in bags and food boxes with Census 2020 information and quick facts, labelled with QR codes.

At each site, FourTwo set up stands with banners, sandwich boards, and posters for greater visibility. FourTwo queued over 200 residents and passed out meals, flyers, water and hand sanitizer to Brownville residents and businesses.

At the Canarsie/East Flatbush location, the team partnered with local representatives to serve meals, water, and Census information. FourTwo also enlisted local ambassadors of the Brownsville, East Flatbush and Canarsie neighborhoods as partners on food preparation, distribution, artwork design, content capture, music curation and amplification support.
